Imaginary Soundscape — It’s a new project by Japanese researchers Yuma Kajihara, Shoya Dozono, and Nao Tokui that takes advantage of the imaginative potential pictures trigger and combines it with AI to create a magical effect. The resulting web app uses machine learning to match any picture you upload with a suitable audio pairing.

Eric Power’s new animated video — Commissioned by musician Jeremy Messersmith Eric’s paper stop-frame animation shows the Monday morning commute of a particularly upbeat citizen.

Emoji — Jesse Reed and Hamish Smyth, the design duo behind the republished MTA, NASA, and EPA standards manuals, are back with Emoji, the first hardcover book that collect the original 176 emoji characters+ app to use them on smartphones.

MTA Country — A new video game by Everyday Arcade that takes players on a treacherous ride through graffiti-lined tunnels filled with electrical fires, broken tracks, and stalled subway cars.

Tetra Hotel — This new lodging is set to be completely sustainable, as the panels are sourced from local materials and constructed on-site. Additionally, the mobile hotel is designed to be carbon-neutral. The pods are made of concrete panels, featuring sharp edges and a futuristic aesthetic.

New Matt Groening characters — Last year Matt Groening revealed he would be creating a new adult animated series for Netflix, titled Disenchantment, and he’s now shared glimpses of its characters and created a new Twitter account for the show.
